SUCCESS TIP #4

Family! What is going on?

My name is Walter Virgil and this is ESS Success.

This is a weekly thread where I get to come to you and give you a really cool job searching tip for all of you out there that are on your journey to actually seek out your next great opportunity.

This week, what I am -- what’s the question for this week?

Yeah, alright. Interview practice run-throughs.

I think that’s so important. I know everybody would like to think that they’re awesome interviewers, but it never hurts to get reps asking -- or answering -- tough questions. So I think it’s always really good if you know that you’re getting ready to start interviewing -- you’ve got a big interview coming up -- the best thing you can do is to get somebody to kind of ask you some tough questions as it pertains to that specific job and why you qualify for that job.

And I think a lot of times, you’ll get an opportunity to be able to communicate some things and recognize, like, “Ooh, maybe I shouldn’t say that.” Or you know what? “Maybe I should say that.” And the individual that you choose to help you do this practice run can also help you with tips as well, so that when you actually step into the real interview, you don’t feel like you’re a stranger. You kind of feel like, “You know what? I’ve done this before. I’ve answered some of the tough questions; I know what to expect.” And that will heighten the probability of you actually doing a great job, okay?

So practice run-throughs for your interview, okay?

That’s all I’ve got. So listen, stay tuned!
