SUCCESS TIP #2

Family! What in the world is going on?

My name is Walter Virgil and this is ESS Success.

This is a weekly thread where I’m constantly sharing things with you guys to aid you in or on your journey of seeking out your next great job opportunity.

This week, I want to talk to you guys about social media screening.

This is a real thing. I’m constantly looking at applicants for specific positions. I want to kind of let you in on a secret. Something that a lot of us do: We Google you. We search you on Instagram. We search you out on Facebook. We look to see if you have anything interesting on YouTube. Because a lot of times, people’s social media give you a real peek in on their lives.

So my number one tip to you this week is screen out your social media!

If you know that you’re on the market looking for a job and you want people to get the right impression of you, pay attention to the presentation that you’re sharing on social media. You do not want pictures of you popping bottles and maybe partaking in some activities that aren’t appropriate because everybody gets to see it, y’know? And so I’ve seen a lot of people miss out on opportunities because their social media didn’t show them in the best light, and my focus for you guys is to ensure that you’re showing yourself in the best light, that you’re putting your best foot forward.

Screen out your social media, okay? It’s actually going to work in your favor.

My name is Walter Virgil, this is ESS Success.

I pray you guys enjoyed today’s tip, and if you found value in it, do me a favor: share it, okay?

Alright, peace.
